Video Game
Tail Town and Friends
- 2010
- Released
- Ganz

A Flash-based Facebook game built around farming and social mechanics, with a twist: physical goods sold by Ganz unlocked in-game rewards, bridging retail and digital play in a way that was genuinely novel for the platform. The game world was fully illustrated with a distinct artistic identity, and carried a soap opera-inspired storyline featuring humorous woodland characters, giving it more narrative personality than the genre typically supported.
Challenge
Build levels for a fully illustrated Facebook social/farming game whose hook was a physical-to-digital bridge — Ganz retail purchases unlocking in-game rewards — while keeping the narrative tone consistent with a soap-opera-style cast of woodland characters.
Solution
Worked as a level designer prototyping, iterating, and polishing levels based on the creative vision and game mechanics; created and maintained design tools and art-to-development pipeline standards; and designed and used custom level editing tools inside the team's back-end content management system.
Outcome
Shipped as a Flash Facebook social game tying Ganz retail products to in-game rewards, with an illustrated style and narrative personality that stood out from typical farming-genre fare of the era.
