A virtual reality filmmaking application that allowed users to record 360 video scenes from within immersive environments. Users could teleport through the scene and operate a virtual steadicam to capture footage from different perspectives, creating their own cinematic experiences inside VR. The application featured explorable settings such as cyberpunk city streets and a U.S. military convoy in the Middle East, giving users a range of dramatic environments to film and share.

Challenge
Help filmmakers compose, capture, and iterate on 360 video shots inside the virtual environment they're filming — without needing a real-world camera rig or location — while keeping the tools intuitive enough for creative experimentation.
Solution
Updated and expanded an existing VR filmmaking product, adding new explorable environments (cyberpunk city, military convoy), refining the user experience for filming and exploring scenes, and improving the virtual steadicam and teleport-based shot capture flow.
Outcome
Featured at the 14 Factory VR Festival as a creative VR film tool that put real-time 360 cinematography in the hands of filmmakers.
